Even though it's called a fern, this trailing plant is actually a moss, it just has similar care requirements to a fern — higher humidity and consistent soil moisture. It gets the common name rainbow because as it absorbs more light, the blue-green foliage will turn more orange and red, creating a gorgeous array of all the colors.
If outside, keep in a shady spot. If indoors, keep in a room with windows. Place in bright indirect light to encourage more colors.
